We did spend on Beattie (Sad to say a record fee), but that was not a Sousa signing, I think it was Jenkins who went out on a limb and signed him, I doubt we spent more under Sousa though, as the only others are Coterill and Trundle coming back, which again was Jenkins. Sorry forgot Sousa wanted a striker loan signing from Portugal in the January transfer window, cost was £300,000, but Jenkins refused, and threw Sousa the Cookie Monster, Shefki Kuqi!...

 

Don't forget Lopez & sending Dobbie out on loan , sitting Britton ... Paulo was a ___ genius !

 

No beef with Sousa as I do not, nor claim to know what happened behind the scenes. Ultimately, he strengthened the defence ethos but made many a game a snoozefest. Came across great. Alienated Leon. Did a job, reached a limit, we moved on to better things.

 

Hell Breezy Lopez was rusty for a player of his pedigree, remember his first game, sending Dobbie out was not his finest move, but Sousa did well considering what took place after Martinez flew off with all our back room staff as well!.............

Why do this just because someone disagrees? So what, you've had words in the past but you put that behind you and move on.
