Swamp, I've got you down as being a sensible poster but fairs fair when we were in League 1 and you were in the Championship did any of our fans ever claim the reason you were doing well was because the Championship standard was poor ? This is a whole new excuse. Also, I too haven't heard any pundit say the Premier League is poor this year.
Wow...interesting reading here. Spend five minutes reading the threads on the Cardiff board to see some of the Swans posts. However you want to look at it, it goes both ways. Seems strange to say something like "enough is enough" when this stuff has been going on for so long and will continue to go on from both sides.
Yeah..take away football and life has been rosy...add the football and it gets a bit glum...still, the season is not over yet... See if you guys can overtake Liverpool...that would be special!
I'd be reasonably happy if we never won another game all season .... happier grows with every point from here . One point out , Cardiff are far from done but a win against Birmingham is mandatory now IMO
Cracker, have to agree with you, I have a mate and a good mate at that who is Cardiff through and through, yet he still had the cojones to congratulate Swansea for going up. I wished Cardiff the best of fortune as I allways do at the start of every season, yet I feel it's never recipricated hence the '' banter'' . SWAMP if you read this I admire the way you support your club, as no doubt the majority of jacks, if they spoke the truth would as well, what annoys me personally, is that I haven't read one congratulatory message from a Bluebird. Rivalry apart, I feel we're doing Wales proud and that if Cardiff supporters can't stomach that well don't bother to visit our pages.
I've actually read a couple of articles saying it isn't as strong in the Premier this season but you can find articles on just about anything really . Every season has it's weakness & strengths in the table . Last season had a strong bottom 5 , felt bad for Blackpool . They had enough points that would have kept them up for the previous decade I think .
I think aber was the one that brought this issue up, he threw it at me some time back, and keeps bringing it up. The way I see it, and have stated a number of times is that there are some really poor teams this year at the bottom of the table in the likes of Wolves, Bolton and Wigan, then at the top of the table we have a number of the top teams under performing, reasons are various, and you can sight the fact that we only have one Premiership team left in the Champions League, as evidence. Liverpool are in transition, Manu are not the same team with Ronaldo gone, Scholes had to be called out of retirement, and it's my view that Manu are in transition as well, Arsenal have lost some good players, and certainly not the same as when Thierry Henry played for them, Chelsea made a big mistake kicking the Special one out, and have yet to find the right manager, so there are some issues with the clubs that have always dominated the League, but these teams are still top teams, yes most of them have looked poor against some of Europe's best this year, but they'll bounce back next year. Of course there have also been some teams that have definitely got better this season, and Man City with their Petro-dollars, is the obvious one, but Spurs and Newcastle have gone up a gear, so it's a bit of a mixed bag, but it is very unfair to say that this is the reason that Swansea have done so well, because that would show ignorance of the fact that Swansea have given a good account of themselves with the best and most improved clubs, so to conclude, it's a strange Premiership this season, that has asked questions of the best, and is spitting out those that are well past their sell by date, but in amongst all this stand two quality teams that have come up and earned the right to be here, and Swansea and Norwich will go from strength to strength in my view, while some from our capital will continue to show their sour grapes, but then they've always been short on class............... please log in to view this image
"still waiting for the name of one pundit who thinks it's a weak Premier League". Well,Dill, how about THESE illustrious "pundits". john hughs. aber/rubber ball. sparkey. sparkey's cat. sussex. a.n.others. I don't see what all the fuss is about. The Premier League is what it is. Swansea City are in it; Cardiff City are most definitely not,and therein lies THEIR problem. 'Ol Green Eyes are shining clear and bright. Consequently, those Cardiff posters who insist the P.L. is not what it was,are not qualified to make/pass judgement on it. Hearing them denigrate the P.L. always brings a smile to my face. The more they comment, the bigger the smile. In fairness, clingo did visit here a month or so back, and his post was very complimentary. I would expect no less from him,and would expect little,or nothing, from the above.
That actually made me lol Vetch. I wonder what your mate Prophet would say, now there's a bellend for you !
Nice to see i'm on your list Vetch, although I don't really know why, if you go through my posts on this board I think you'll find I've been nothing but complimentary on your performances this year but hey-ho wouldn't expect any less from you
My take on all that's been posted , why does it matter what some posters say about us .The team represents our City and we have (after many years ) finally reached the top tier.Lets enjoy our moment in the sun, don't forget the press can big us up then drop us like a stone . Would we act the same towards them if the roles were reversed ,dam right we would, so appreciate the positives ( and there's been a season so far of them) from the media which has influence rather than individuals that don't.
You are on the list for very good reasons, sussex, and I make no apologies for including you. IF you have "been nothing but complimentary",then I clearly missed those!!!,and would apologise if that was ever the case.
Vetch, I'm sorry but if you have a problem with my right to respond to some of your plainly antagonistic posts on the Cardiff board surely that's a problem between you and I needing no involvement from others, anyway it doesn't change my well wishes on your teams success this year. good luck against the Toffees.
