After less than two years it seems that a deal has been struck that keeps all parties happy, perhaps Treason May could get Millwall, Renewal and Lewisham council in to sort Brexit out!! https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/...on-regenerating-area-around-millwalls-ground/
That's great news Stu and seems a common theme after the guardian ran the same story, it's a no brainer all round and the new Lewisham mayor who replace Bullock is committed to us in the borough as one of his manifesto pledges, seemingly good to his word so far. More homes and more jobs add up to more local people generating income for us and another train station that'll bring fans to the stadium doorstep is brilliant news. A new stadium station was part of the original plans for the Overground west extension from Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction, but it didn't come to fruition.
The new station is a must as South Bermondsey is closed a fair few times over a season, a few more bars and more choice of places to eat would encourage people to arrive earlier and stay a while after a game. In time the extra income will put us on an even setting with fellow championship sides, rather than punching above our weight for a few years and then taking a few years to get back up.
