Every Football club has its rival club with forum posters who overstep the line, its a natural thing and nothing personal. I would support any Cardiff player in a Wales shirt but want to take 6 pts off them next season desperately. Look at clubs like Liverpool/Everton, Newcastle/ Sunderland, Man Utd / Man city. These people are friends normally live locally and work together but when it comes to Football rivalry is rivalry we are nothing special so its best to avoid silly threads like this and stay away from each others boards if you dont want the rivalry banter and of course if anyone oversteps then thats what the Mods are for.

"Silly threads like this".......<steam>

Do you mean the OP or the subsequent content?..................<laugh>

You're right about staying away when it gets over the top, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of jousting - ask Vetch - his words not mine.

taff, here you go again,"lack of respect"!!!

You have to earn "respect". It's not a given.

If you don't feel that you are getting any/sufficient "respect",perhaps there are reasons for that.

Since we are now being invaded on a daily basis by those from the dark side, you can expect "silly threads like this" on a permanent basis. Or at least until they get relegated.

Not much fear of The Swans' being relegated, spark, too much class for that.

Hmmm.........Vetch - I wonder if that's relying a bit heavily on the old adage "Too good to go down".

You've got a two year head start over us up there and that should show dividends next year. We've got to learn and I hope we don't do it the hard way.

Just staying up has become regarded as something of a success these recent years, and the split that's developed with the top half dozen dominating means that realistically any three of the other 14 are candidates for the drop. Some more likely candidates (like us) than others, but nevertheless still potential casualties.

As far as you're concerned, much has been made about the tremendous coup that Michu's signing was for Swansea, and rightly so.

With your lack of strike power generally, it could also be argued that Michu kept you up. Without him, your inability to score through midfield could have sent you down. Half a dozen points dropped next year from this season's tally through another Michu barren spell could be enough to do it.

With him still there next season to get around 20 goal mark and you can find someone to chip in and help him, you've got a very decent chance of the upper mid table comfort zone with a pop at the European slots not that far away.

As for us, it's a new experience and I certainly think that we'll be delighted just to stay up. Having said that, a clutch of new Prem quality signings in the summer added to what we've already got at the club could suprise a few already up there.

Lib, I was actually responding to Terror and never said anything about us not being respected. Go read the previous threads before posting fella. You wont look as foolish.

Only jousting, sparkey,so no need to get back on the horse. Is it the same one you were riding all those years ago?

The PL does have a two league look to it,and it's more than likely that 3 from 14 will go down. More likely to be 3 from 13.

None of us know what the season will bring. New signings, carrying the hope of the Club and it's supporters, failing to deliver. Existing players who helped gain promotion, turning out to be not good enough. Both scenarios could spell disaster.

I'm sure you will find it an exciting time for your Club, however.

Ha ha ha, "out of my depth, now that should be on you comedy classic board. I pointout your mistake and I am out of my depth. Really, you couldn't make this stuff up.
I did not mention a lack of respect, your fellow Swan did. But I am apparently complaining about it, seriously can you read?

Makes me laugh that a Cardiff poster mentions our 'lack of firepower' when their top scorer had 8 in a piss-poor league last season. Please - you're killing me. <laugh>

Cardiff will need a real clearout from what I've seen and spend really really big to stand a cat's chance in hell. Just my opinion and I've been wrong before. Let's see. <ok>

Hey Knackered, don't you go upsetting our revered guests by telling them home truths. Else you may incur the wrath of our home grown Stasi.
