Yeah, no matter how bad Ashley is, can't say I'd ever want Shepherd back...The man looks truly evil and is an utter scumbag! He reportedly siphoned money off the top of the club for years, ran us into huge debts and insulted each and every one of us...**** him!

We always knew the squad was relatively small and we needed a few players in - I just hope we get past the 40 point mark before we really start to feel it. Plenty of other teams are going to feel the strain going into the end of the season. We could do with signing a player or two but doesn't seem too likely.

 

No thanks if we're going to get a new owner , at least make sure it's a better one.

 

Despite the injuries, according to Opta, we still have the 2nd most unchanged team in the prem this year. When you consider the injuries that we have had that's not bad going, certainly shows that there's a good core of 15/16 players that can really do it for us.

Transfer-wise I really wouldn't be bothered if we didn't bring anyone in. It's very obvious that the current squad has a great spirit and unity about it and I wouldn't want that affected by one bad apple! I think we've cultivated a good squad environment over the last 18 months and it seems the perfect time to start bringing some of the reserve boys in to the fray. Despite the scoreline, Ferguson, Tavernier and Airey all looked superb away to United earlier this season.

 

Apparently the Stephen Ireland deal is still under negotiation who can play centre or right hand side which will cover Gosling injury/Routledge loan. Don't think there's any real need to panic, there's a lot of teams worse off than we are. Would like to see another striker come in (or Xisco to suddenly become as good as Messi) though not Mutu.

If Shepherd had stayed we would have been bust, we were 3 months away from having to take out a loan but there was nothing to refinance against. Like it or nor Ashley pulled us out of the ****. Shepherd would have sunk us for good.
