Sorry guys I stand by my post.
To me it was like gambling double or nothing when already sitting on the jackpot. We lost and got nothing.
Sure, if we had scored again we would have all, including me, been delighted, but we did NOT need to take that risk.
We know that Wolves are experts at hitting teams on the break - and we are pretty good at doing that ourselves too (just ask Sheffield United). Why play into their hands? We knew that they would have to attack US at some point with their 10 men, so why not force THEM to play OUR game for a change? But no, instead we commit men forward like sending flies into a spiderweb instead of letting them approach our own spiderweb.
At this level (and yes, I include us too - we are playing at a high level too) you cannot gamble like that or you will be punished.
Overall I’m delighted with the season so far and don’t want to lose sight of that, but Wolves didn’t win yesterday - we gave it to them and that hurts me more than being outplayed by the better team. So frustrating. We could have and should have won.
