Maybe Zola bought them in to bolster up the troops whilst silently undermining Sarri? <laugh>

Well, we didn't get whacked but we had no penetration due to not moving the ball fast enough. Loads of sideways and backward passes though. <laugh>
The game was crying out for Jorginho to be taken off for Willian and Kante to take his role with Husdon Odoi getting on and running at them but no! we played the same boring tactics we have for weeks.

Jorginho should be loaned out to a Championship club like Aston Villa or Bristol City. He offers very little at Premiership level.

I think Odoi could have caused us problems in the second half because we had put a lot of work in to keep you out, his control and directness would have put us under a lot of pressure.
The commentators made a good point, Sari made subs like for like and changed nothing.

I'd have put money on that at the start. Pedro was having a decent game when he took him off.

He's a victim of appalling selections by Sarri which exposes his back 4 to double the work they should be doing, because Kante is not where he should be, and Jorghino is absolutely, totally useless at everything he does. he's also not the world's best defender at the best of times and is being exposed over and over.
How about those subs !!!!!!!!!!!!! Like for like, Pedro playing better than Willian did, Dave going OK and Barkley, BARKLEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! mister invisible against good defenders.
Shouldn't be surprised, Utd knew our team 6 weeks ago and prepared well, as will Malmo, City and Spurs.
Keep playing the same dross system with the same dross selections and you will keep getting the same dross results.
New system or new manager for me, soon as possible, this manager just isn't up to the standards of his competitors, and is unwilling to admit it or try to fix it.

I don’t think you will ever see what Jorginho is capable of until Kante is partnered with him in a 2,which I’d be surprised if the next manager doesn’t do as soon as he takes over from this bellend

Whatever he does if Kante is used properly would be twice as good as he does now, which is nothing. Too slow, too feeble, too easily taken out of the game.
With a bit of luck, we might see what the new manager does next game !!

No brainer for any new manager, drop then loan out or sell Jorginho and put Kante back where he belongs.

From what I’ve seen of Jorginho this season he’d be a weak link in any Premiership side’s midfield. I reckon that unless we beat you on Sunday Sarri will be sacked. It’s becoming a national joke with Sarri displacing the world class Kante from his position in midfield to make way for his ‘golden boy’ Jorginho.

Although Kante is probably the best DM in the world at the moment, he has impressed me with his attacking intent and ability in the role he now plays. His main talent is wasted but he is doing a fair job at what he is being asked to do.
