Anyone still interested enough in NUFC to follow the U23s? Apparently this kid is ripping it up, and now there are shouts to get him in the team... Anybody think it's just a shocking indictment of our current poor run, or does he deserve a shot?

Well - I know **** all about him.

But what I do know is:
Sterry should be at least a shoe horn in at right back
Longstaff should be starting in a midfield 3
Armstrong shouldn't have been sold and should be starting
Roberts should be on the bench

He’ll go to a bigger club like Accrington as he’ll do a Gibson.

I hope he does leave for his own career’s sake. We are a poisonous club on a downward trajectory.

100% we have a fair few there in the youth team who need blooding.

Yarney is doing ok out on loan at Moorecombe who are perennial strugglers in League 2
Sterry should be ahead of Manquillo and Lazaar
Longstaff looked like a good fit in the cup game
Sorenson has to be given a chance up top
Woodman should be getting Cup games here or be out on loan.

We just don't look after the kids here.

They're all not good enough. Rafa doesn't pick them for a reason. That is what I've been told. This is now backed up by Lascelles who says nobody inside the stadium has the right to question any of Rafa's decisions/selections because his record is fantastic, he's won stuff, and we should all just bend the knee.

I realise he's just trying to defend a manager he wants to play for but **** me I'm getting really bored of all this Rafa does no wrong, its all Ashley's fault. He is the root cause of our problems, and changing manager will achieve little because the next one would be hamstrung too, but Rafa does make errors and he is having a shocker this season.

As for the younguns, Rafa doesn't bother with two things in football. If you are a young player or an injured player, he wants nowt to do with you.

Me too. If he had stayed and not jumped ship, we'd have been steady mid table to just under every year regardless of budget. The younguns would be getting a chance too like Dummett did. Plus we'd have loads of left backs instead of just one.

Rafa isn't a god and his reliance on that useless sack of **** Ayoze Perez is pissing me off. Get the young lad in the team and sell Perez to ****ing Barrow.

Nice to see but his goals do have a touch of would he get that sort of chance at the PL level about them. Never impressed with videos just showing goals as prefer to see the all round player.

I really like the look of that kid I have to be honest. Yes it’s only u23’s and hss only 19 or whatever but one of the things that impressed me most is the fact that doesn’t seem to dwell when given his chances. Quite a few headers in there (some
horrific defending and goalkeeping) but he sticks them away. He’s finishing with his feet is good to see, knows where the onion bag is and not scared to have a pop. Get him on the bench...can’t be any worse than hoss or Perez!

I think we have got to get the young players in the team if they are doing really well. As much as anything to remind the senior squad member that there places are at risk of being taken by one of the kids. We've got fk all in front of goal right now so may as well give him a chance.

Prem defending is a HUGE step up from anything in that vid though but he does look decent.

Home grown are refreshing, whatever league. Look at your Inter Cities Cup Team, lads who cared.

Being truthful some of the keeping and defending is awful looking at that. Hate to agree with Groot at any time but you do have to wonder if he would get the sort of time afforded also. Plus a number came from crosses, Rafa doesn't really do crosses and wide play. He prefers to work it into the box slowly.

The hatrick against Villa are his best 3 other than that the first goal in the list is good movement, then i think its the 5th (1.30) is a again good movement simple finish from 5 yards out and the toe poke at 2mins is a good finish. Apart from that very obvious its U23 level.

Still think he'd got to get a run out to show what he can do.

If Perez or Joselu can get in our team then there is no reason why this kid shouldn't. Oh wait...be's not Spanish.

He looks like he could develop.

Now there is time to see, or the club charge a higher fee because of his contract length!
