Ive just been reading through this thread ; to me the flaw is that there seems to be an unchallenged starting point in the arguments that accepts it is a parents unalienable right to inculcate their children into acceptance of their own ( ie parental ) belief system.

Yes I got the point about private schools the first time hence my reply, they should have that status revoked if they are a faith school. You don't know it doesn't work as I don't know that it does but I believe it would make a difference. I also believe that schools should not be teaching religion to children but that's because I'm an atheist and I want a secular society. All things considered, it seems a good plan, it would get my vote.
