I think I've worked out what's going on in this thread. The *****s are talking in code to each othe. Am onto ye's
A human has the same amount of vertabrae in his neck as a giraffe has it it's neck, with the amount being 7. Who'd a thunk it?
Stan's favorite pastime was fishing, especially salmon fishing in northern California. He would often have his day's catch cleaned and canned at a local cannery for ease in transporting it home. As his daughter Lois put it, "He loved it when the fish would put up a bit of a fight with him."
Will you let go of my ears! If you get a chance to go to LA, you can go on the L&H tour. Sadly the studios have been flattened, but there are many outdoor locations to see. Or check out youtube to see the famous steps from the Music Box, as they are today. Back in the fifties, on their tour of England, L&H visited the Hythe and Dymchurch railway. It is a joy to stand where they had their photo taken by the local press: have your own picture taken and then compare the two. Magic. The Ulverston museum is a must and needs all the help it can get. A lifetime membership is a fanstastic gift to treat yourself to. My three favourites are - Pardon Us Towed in the Hole County Hospital Hard-boiled eggs and nuts!
Night Owls.....where Stan and Ollie are blackmailed by edgar kennedy into burgling the chief of police's house! Cant remember the name of the one where stan and ollie save a woman from suicide and she ends up at their house and they have to hide her from their wives!
It must be 25 years since I saw any of those early comedies. They should put some on, replace a cookery or a do up/buy a property type programme.
