Morning Bluebirds,

Been a while as work has taken over, been reading a lot of threads and wanted try and steer away from a lot of non-football chat that's been on the board of recent. <ok>

Considering the team we had last season compared to what we have now, just wanted to reflect on last season's first 7 games and this season.

Great start from the boys, and considering one or two results, we were unlucky not to come away with a win.

Someone posted earlier on, we might not have the quality we had last season, but we have a team who play until the final whistle. <ok>

Long may this continue.

no probs... you're not the first to include GC <ok>

as for looking a complete tool... it's 'friend' :D (sorry, couldn't resist that one)

You sound as desperate as me H :emoticon-0104-surpr

Yes, we are in good shape points wise compared to last season, will all depend on who we get in the loan market as to whether we can keep this up, lots of teams displaying a hunger again this year.

I think the success of Swansea and Norwich have shown just what is possible to achieve with a good run!

The keeper situation is better as we have Marshall fit.

The defence has more strength in depth. Though thanks to Jones we lost a top prospect in Matthews.

The midfield lacks pace but we look solid now in the middle.

Up front is no comparison - but replacing Bellamy and Bothroyd was going to be impossible.

Mason is going to be a top player.

The team looks much fitter , more disciplned and tactically Malky puts Jones to shame.

Mainly due to the loss of Bellamy and Bothroyd and to some extent Chopra , Burke and the appallingly treated Matthews we are weaker.

Dont forget we had Ramsey for a period as well.

Off the pitch we have a far better manager and a man who is building a squad who Im sure will eventually be promotion challengers.

Though next season is more likely.

If Malky gets us in the play offs after the mess the squad was in after Jones departure then he will be in line for the Man U job,
