Cuteybuns.
I think we will have to agree to disagree.
I find it baffling that people lose faith while we are unquestionably improving year on year.
I'll agree to disagree with you any time - and I'll do it with a lot of respect. You argue your position well, but not like a bull in a china shop, and not like some foul-mouthed yob either. I think you're a gentleman. Best wishes, mate.
It's odd. I never intended it, you know. But I can't swallow medical staff injuring people, etc. And then - the final insult - Bruce claims that the whole nine month travesty was down to one game against Newcastle played in August. Surely, no one in their right mind can believe that. I'm sorry, that's enough for me. I want him out like I can taste it.
I think you have taken this out of context, Bruce said he was going to talk further to the medical staff to see if they thought there was any reason we were getting so many injuries, he was not blaming them for the injuries.
You're right, Vegas, Bruce didn't blame the medical staff. What I meant to say was that, if you look back on this board, some of the wilder BiBs were claiming that. It got to such a frenzied state around April that everyone and anyone was to blame for that run - except Bruce. Eventually, as the claims got wilder and wilder, it wore down my belief. I mean, for example, 'it's the loanees - they don't play with the same commitment as our own players'. It was rubbish - show me which of our own players were any better (Bardsley maybe being the exception). None of them looked like they wanted to be there.
I never take Bruce's origins into consideration. I think that's one of the BoBs wilder claims The lad who robbed us of the double in 1913 - he scored Villa's winning goal in the Cup Final - for example, was born and bred in West Stanley and was a lifelong Sunderland fan. If Bruce could wallop Newcastle 10-0, I'm sure he'd be over the moon.
Best wishes.
