The thread was to start a discussion on the merits of him moving, or not. Not to hear the same old AP is useless from you. I accept you feel that 5 Fiestas' are not as good as 1 crocked horse, and is a valid discussion point from you.
With regards to Duffman & Tango, Twf'y has already posted a comment to that effect in the recent past, Adam.
But if your Lamborghini packs in and gets knackered, then you don't have a car do you? You can't put all your eggs in one basket! I'd say most of the players we're signing are good enough for the Championship, you don't play in the Man United youth/reserve teams when you're **** do you? Muppet.
Fair enough, but AP obviously has a big effect on what happens here, and as your article is quoting him, it made no sense to simply ignore him. Also, if AP is serious about moving him on, why come out and say "Yeah, he won't take a pay cut", thank God he's not a salesman.
Okay, so you'd rather have Bullard, than have Danns, Ayala, Dudgeon and Morison? They're just examples, but we could probably bring in more players than that for the same wages we're paying Jimmy and personally, I think we've got far more chance of promotion adding them to our squad. It's a dead argument anyway, as we want rid and he wants out.
The Lamborghini has proved itself to be working fine though. The players are good enough for the Championship, they're just not good enough to get out of the Championship, I'm not saying they're ****, I'm saying they're not brilliant, people see "Man Utd youngster" and it clouds their judgement, they're not all going to turn out to be Frazier Campbells, that's why Man Utd are letting them go for pittance.
Have you not considered the chance of reverse psychology? As your preferred star player has said he would consider a wage reduction, maybe AP is putting the ball in his court? (Just hope he doesn't knacker his knee, being near that ball!!)
Quite happily, because Bullard is better than all of them, not many Championship clubs end up with players as skilled as Bullard in their squads and we should be making the most of it. We should be looking at what he did at Ipswich and thinking "Right, now do it for us", not "Let's get rid of him so we can afford some distinctly average players".
What would you do though when Bullard is out injured (which given his history is a real possibility). With no strength in depth we would have no possibility of getting promotion either.
Did you see his recent performances for us, he couldn't have looked less interested, against Wigan he was a waste of a shirt. You can blame circumstances for his attitude being the way it is with regard to City, but that's the way it is, there's no way the clock will be turned back now. He hasn't the slightest ****ing interest in playing for us, it was evident in his performances this season and it's evident in everything he says. He has zero interest in playing for us, he's on his way, move on for ****s sake.
Yeah, but there's no garauntee the Lamborghini will be working in top tip condition all the time. From what other posters have said on this site, some Man United fans thought of Evans, Chester etc very highly, unfortunately as is the case with plaenty of top teams young English talent is sometimes over looked in favour of foreign investment. And, you don't necessarily need the talented players to get promotion. Norwich didn't exactly have what many would see as the best squad in the league, yet with good team spirit and hard work they got promotion, yet Cardiff with all their attacking talent we saw at the KC failed to make the top 2 and possibly promotion. I'm not expecting marquee signings this summer and i' expect the team that starts the first game of the season in August will not include Bullard.
100% agree. Plus with his injury record it would be very foolish to build a team around Bullard. I wish TWF could see the wood from the trees and accept that we're building a team for the future rather than relying on an ageing injury prone midfielder.
