What case? That you're agreeing with me?

Joe Kinnear is not a good manager. He's ****e with virtually no pedigree whatsoever. That just matches what I said perfectly, that teams in difficultly near the bottom struggle to bring in quality proven managers. We had a boatload of cash, but who could we attract? Joe bloody Kinnear.

<laugh> Don't **** yourself with anger there boyo.

Didn't they get him from the start of the new season? Imo that's totally different to hiring a manager in the middle of the season. Players can be on a low-confidence slump which is challenging to steer out of.

Starting from day one of a season just involves a fresh start and seeing how well the club can do. Starting from the middle of the season during a bad run is more about 'stopping the slide' and 'reversing the damage'.

Like I said, you guys could well bag one of the better managers out there. It's just difficult to lure them - especially if they are sought after.

That is correct O'Neill took over in July 2006, they had finished 16th the previous year, so no he didn't join in the middle of a relegation battle. Just been on to my contact on Merseyside and apparently David Moyes feels like he needs a new challenge, could it be Sunderland?

Well he's already at the second best supported team in that region with a tight-arse chairman and zero ambition, what would be new at Sunderland?

TBH, O'Niell or Hughes would do me absolutely fine. f course I'd love Mourinhio, but that's never going to happen, we need to be realistic.

Rednapp replaced Ramirez whren they were in deep, deep **** (bottom 3 actually) and took them to the top half in his forst season, then the Champs League a couple of seasons later.

O Neill or Hughes would be fantastic for the club imo.

Arry may not be everyones cuppa but he is a top manager of a top team.

I don't think Redknapp would have taken the job without Spurs bringing him into the 'interview room' and basically telling them that they were going to spend some serious cash. I'm sure he spent something like £40mill in his first window?

If Short makes the same promises, then it's very possible that you'll secure one of the better managers out there. Both Hughes and O'neill are pretty good.
