Don't think Stringer managed in the Premiership, Deehan and Megson were really just cheap stop gaps for Chase and not cut out for management. Hughton had a much better set of cards to play with than Worthington, he's had more freedom to do what he wants, bigger budget, better players.
I I can't believe for a moment that his record is better than that of Stringer, I think those stats must refer to the Premier League era which started after he'd called it a day, Walker was manager in the first PL season for example
