Wow Ken, Give me a price on the top one mate and let me know the size. I'm not a modest man, and lucky to be able to turn my hand and / or mind to most things, but art isn't or wasn't one of them. So, today I've picked up a pencil and tried my hand. Hmm, a lot to be desired, but you've triggered me and I shall carry on regardless. Thank you for inspiring me, and I expect many others. Pat Wednesday
Been keeping busy but here's a couple I did earlier this year: A tiny tale of a tiny bird. It's a hommage to my daughters zebra finches
I'm not in ken's league (yet) but I do try and create art. I started to learn to sing four years ago, and today is the first day I've been happy with the way I sound. Through all those years I still struggled with my partner's mental illnesses, and the first song reflects that. The second song is a CAFC number, of which I've written a few. I won't be offended by any comment, mainly because I've made a good living out of being a writer. I sing pretty good now, bot not embarrassed about my humble beginnings. Enjoy if you can lol. NB: The missus wrote and sung the harmonies.
Finally found a space to listen to one of these - hopefully hit the other one this afternoon. I love Forever CAFC (and nice to see a bit of football with fans at the game). Is it finished? Feels like it needs a second verse and instrumental break, but as my musical ability is merely listening, this is layman's stuff.
Thanks Ken, and you're right, I never quite finished the footy song. My next Footy song is "Cry for love" subtitled "A song for Thomas" but it's not as soft as it sounds, and hopefully will make all fans think about what they have, and it's worth even in bad times. I'll wait until we get the all clear on attending matches before I release it, plus we're full time on someone else's music ATM.
Nice for five minutes. Probably take me that long to get comfy. I used to work as a pavement artist around the South East, painting pictures in chalk. Nice work in nice weather bad in January and tough on the knees.
