Antibiotics are not the first treatment to an infection, but sinusitis is, by definition, an infection. It's like when you get a chest infection after a cold or flu - they're usually treated by antibiotics EVENTUALLY if they won't shift. Been sneezy and snotty for nearly three weeks, and the doc did a video call with me to confirm sinusitis. His suggestion to use ab's - they don't like giving them out willy-nilly. As to drinking, they come with an 'avoid alcohol' message on the label. According to my daughter, a nurse, if you drink it just nulifies their effectiveness. So I just waited until this morning to start them.
You can drink on ab's, but you're advised not to as it nulifies their effectiveness. Mine have come with an 'Avoid alcohol' message on the label, so that must be there for a reason.
