Agreed, although you can understand the frustrations of fans after all we seem to be rebuilding every year! However I think we now have the right man in charge (i hope)! Unfortunately he is in large dealing with what he has inherited under tighter financial restrictions and it will take time to get what he wants. Hopefully he will have the team he wants after the summer (if we stay up) then we will see what he can do in regards to tactics as the honeymoon period will be well over.
Well it would be a ****ing boring football forum if we all agreed about everything! The difference of opinions is the life blood of any forum. If someone pisses you off ignore their posts! Or better still argue your corner. Owts better than the childish name calling.
Why? Why are they laughable? They pay their money like everyone else but because they disagree with you lord & master they are not entitled to an opinion? You must be right then eh? Let me tell you something buddy buck nut. MON's tactics, team selection & substitutions have been bizarre to say the least. We were ****e against Swansea & he go's & picks the exact same team v Reading. Anyone who thought we'd have 2 up top on Saturday is silly imo, he won't do it, especially away from home. I'm very sorry my friend but just because the club I love employs certain people, doesn't mean I have to gobble them off & I wont. You do what you like. I'll tell you what is laughable, the fact we have a midfielder at rb when we have an rb on the bench who should be ****ing captain mate. Now go look at the man who makes the decisions & ask him why folk are being driven away from home games. The bloke is living in the past & hasn't a ****ing clue pal.
Couldn't have put it better myself - Spot on... However it doesn't dismis the fact that people have the right to air opinions when the team are not performing. The bottom line for me is being real in our expectations. I'm hopeful that MoN will get it right but as mentioned this will take time. I'm all for MoN being given the chance right up until the end of next season (minimum), that will include another 2 transfer windows. that should be enough time for him to stamp his own team and ideas into the squad.
Agreed also... A good counter to the OP. At last an article where people are debating / discussing rather than shooting down other people's opinions. I very rarely comment on here as most articles turn into a slagging match by which time I can't be bothered. Also as Cest stated below - it's all about perspective. Keep it this way and we won't end up like the diluded ones up the road There is a marked difference between having a moan and calling for the managers head. I'm sure there will be times when Man Utd fans moan about Fergie but they wouldnt want him to go. Thats what we have to get right here.

Part of this season's problem has been dropping points thanks to the odd goal here or there. Often enough, it's been MON's tactics that appear to be to blame and that's frustrating, but there it is. The main point is that we've never had the stability to kick on from promising positions as a club before. We're now getting that, although establishing stability is a pretty tedious process. But I've been a fan for over forty years and the only times I can remember having five straight years in the top flight was under Reid (I think) and in the early 80s, so I for one am prepared to tread water for a season or two while MON puts down some foundations.
Yet a lot on other forums I am on were saying - get Graham on and go for the win - when Reading scored, there only looked to be one winner and it was us - we looked dangerous and good going forward in the last 10 minutes - personally I'm glad O'Neill went for the win - we lost only a point, we almost gained 2 -just my opinion though I, personally, was glad we went for the win - I also don't think "going for the win" cost us - it was a bad miss from N'Diaye and a stupid challenge from Bramble which cost us the match
thats my point marcus ,go for the win yes ,but at the start , not with a point in the bag . i would be happy with any point away from home, however , but if you are happy in the knowledge that we did not get anything from it , thats you , not me. COULD BE THE POINT THAT KEEPS US UP ,WE WILL NEVER KNOW
No mate I'm not "happy" we lost but I honestly think, if we'd shored it up (unless he'd taken Bramble off) we'd have conceded a silly free-kick - and that's all it was - they were never scoring in the second half from open play - I am happy that we actually went out to win the game - if we had shored it up and lost, the chances are people would be having a go for making a defensive substitution - either way the manager can't win in that situation. I'd rather lose a game trying to win it than lost a game by hoping for a draw (personally) - obviously I'd rather not lose!!
By getting it right, he will do this and that, i am sick of hearing that over the years, if Murray had got Brian clough instead of Mcenemy who knows what we could have done. But what is the ambition ?, mine is champions league football and the owners at Chelsea and Man c demanded it and got it. This season we could have been challenging for that 4 th place if 3 or 4 quality players had been brought in. We need targets to be achieved each season and keep moving up and staying at that level. Seen a mag in Lidl today but he had his shirt covered just enough to stop me telling him to ******* get the hell away from me!.
