http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,,12038_7342672,00.html? The Spurs bit is a few stories down, well worth a read, especially if like me you love stats. Our longest ever unbeaten league run was ...... do you know .... I didn't ..... It was 22 games in 1949/50 in Div 2. I guess the run must have started in 48/49, given the run's end date - though 'last win' is ambiguous in a tale of unbeaten runs, should surely be 'last unbeaten game' ? That quibble aside, there is lots more good stuff in Martin Tyler's answer, including the answer to the question, how many games more do we need to remain unbeaten for our longest-ever unbeaten Prem run .... the answer is .... 2.
Steady HIAG I think we need to be stretching this run to 20 unbeaten games in the Lge (at least 16 of them wins) before we start talking in those terms
mmmmm, 13 straight wins. What a team. I think i'd give up a pinky finger for 13 straight wins nowadays.
Our longest ever uneaten league run was ...... do you know .... I didn't ..... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There'll be nothing uneaten with Hudd around the place!
