If SH did that with 3 French politicians you would throw a hissy fit and ban him Or double ban him as you have already done that
I asked him if he wished to remain and he said he wasn't bothered. So he had his account removed by the supermods.
Oh ok I used to find him amusing even though I did not agree with everything he posted We are very thin on the ground these day If all the posters who take part in the prediction leagues posted on here itv might be a lively forum The Championship forum itself is dead as a dodo Nothing like the old 606 where we had all our rival teams exchanging banter
Surely it is up to SH to remove his account, not the mods? I enjoyed his posts and he added a bit of balance to the centre left views generally expressed on here.
Not possible for a poster to do so, all they can do is stop posting. I am afraid that some have tried to open new accounts under different names, then carry on with trouble making. Not the Watford board by the way. A process is in place to prevent that happening which us humble mods have no access to. The site has to protect itself against various postings that could lead to its closure, and it has happened with some facing legal action. SH was asked if he would like to continue without personal abuse of others, but declined the invitation.
Scullion - I thought he went way beyond the pale of common decency. Outrageously rude to some folks here. My views on the political threads are well known so that's by the by. His contributions elsewhere where minimal, something I pointed out years ago. I went over 200 of his posts and less than ten were football related and a couple of those were sideswipes of opposition teams and fans. No jokes outside of the politik, no predictions, no banter, no engagement at all except to provoke in my experience. Capped off by him asking for professional advice for a "cup of coffee" - the man has had a successful business career, I know where he lives (I know how the planning process works so it wasn't difficult) and he can well afford to pay the appropriate fees (I don't do private work anyway) but wants to circumnavigate authority, Cummings style, and get away with it. That sort of thing doesn't wash with me. Sorry, I don't miss him at all here, I don't know him and nor do I want to. Frenchie has also seen my private opinions of him. So you for voted Brexit. Fine, we'll not agree on that but we do agree to disagree (you're wrong but I'll defend your right to be wrong) and we've engaged over a number of topics - music, alcoholic beverages, football, other sports - something that SH did not do. I'd be happy to make your acquaintance in the real world. I think the mods were well within their rights and, to be critical, they took too long about it imho... which is why I'm not a mod!
HF I was really only questioning the mechanics of closing one's account and I am really surprised I have no control over this. Whatever our views on a particular topic I think it is essential that we are always polite and courteous. I too would happy to meet you if the opportunity arose.
You are of course entitled to your vision of what you think is good or bad no matter how wrong you are
