I like Bunnings - they have a sausage sizzle every saturday morning (well, outside of lockdown) in their car parks, with the biggest and best sausages.

I wonder if they were the same ones that sold an air guitar on Ebay for thousands of dollars

The government in Egypt has ordered taxi drivers in Cairo to drive around sounding their car horns all day.

It is hoped that the return of the familiar sounds of the city will help the people to once again find tranquility and normality following the recent Covid 19 pandemic.

Operation Toot 'n Calm 'Em will last for the rest of the month.

Really wasn´t sure where to put this - as the scale of the globe is disproportionate this interactive map shows the true size of countries. It is cool to play around with. Put the country name in, it highlights the aforementioned boarders and you can move it around the globe to compare it to other places. I am having a blast with it.

If you have ever been to Cairo you don't need to tell drivers to do that!

I have actually - many moons ago. It was a visit I'll never forget as it involved visiting a backstreet shed, a lady and a donkey - it scarred me for life...

Nothing wrong with Cairo. I went many times when I lived in Alexandria. Mind you some of the hotels I stayed in were interesting, particularly the legendary Golden Hotel. There wasn't much you couldn't buy there.

I don't know if this link will work or not - I hope so, it's a fine example of Aussie humour...

    Edit - drat, it didn't...

    Agreed.

Unfortunately Scotland is hooked on the financial umbilical cord from London.
