Rodgers has been discussed in these talks. What concerns me is that they are only investing £30 million in new players AND the stadium

The more I read, the less convinced I become that these are the right guys. Seems Morgan et al couldn't give a **** and just want yo cash in.

 

£30 million and thats including stadium expansion that doesn't seem much. How much is the expansion gonna cost us?

I agree. I seemed optimistic Saturday, maybe the euphoria of the Chelsea victory and performance, but the more I think of it, like you, the more concerned I become.

Well if the bbc report can be believed were 20m short on the stadium alone. Unless the expansion isn't planned for next season and they're talking about aesthetically upgrading?

 

I'd say we need at least 30m to buy playing staff to compete for mid table next season.

 

Investment and buying someones shares is totally different , Investment is a loan , a share buyout is just that but with the additional worry that if they become the majority shareholder then than can issue a new share issue which could dilute all other shareholders share value ?

 

After this seasons performance a review of the playing staff is definitely needed , we just about stayed up with a very limited investment in a squad which to be honest has shown not fit for purpose in a few positions .We need to sell a few imo , Bartley , Emnes ,Gomis, Ki perhaps ,and have a plan in place to replace a few in the near future , Rangel, Leon, Taylor Williams ,Routledge,if a few of the U21's aren't good enough for the PL then there's a few older heads can make way .There's a lot of work for the manger to do this summer, who ever it maybe and possibly the timing of the "investment " probably isn't the best .

 

I'd say at least £40 million with a good £15 million on a striker alone.

 

I rather just keep understanding the value of each and every £ and spend it like its our last one to steer us clear of debt .
I don't really care who has the shares as long as everyone has equal opportunity to buy them , like the trust for instance .
If every £ spent last summer on players . ( which wasn't much ) wasn't totally wasted or manager buy outs weren't looking down at us , not to mention whatever happened with the Vorm case verdict ? ( I think we will never find out and it will cost the club extra for us to not find out ) , we wouldn't be looking for investment now IMO .
I think we have had a good head start with Paloschi solving our long time striker problems and Fer looks a good addition if he is added because he can play anywhere .
Some defensive additions and Im good come the start of next season .
We don't need investment , we need to invest what we get properly , like we use to be reknown for .
