The only stat that matters is Achievment i.e. league position.

His signings aren't exactly inspiring, and now we are in for a defender who cant get into Huddersfields side, which asks the question, why did we let Hudson go !
Everyone i talk to in my neck of the woods wants Slade to get the sack, personally i believe Derby will be the acid test, lose that and he's gone. Then another question has to be asked. Who replaces him ? Warnock ?

I'd take Adkins out of the obvious available choices.

I'd go all out to persuade Bellamy.

Two problems, though...CB wouldn't touch the job with a bargepole at the moment & I doubt the Club would want another novice after the OGS debacle.

He'd certainly galvanize the squad, though.

I couldn't entertain the idea of a 3rd man in a row with zero experience at Championship or PL level. Bellers could be an option as a number 2.

I can't see Bellers as a number 2 at Cardiff. He's been far too involved at the club to play second fiddle - he could be more of a disruption to an incoming guy to be worth the risk. Elsewhere for him it would be the first rung on the step ladder, but not at Cardiff.

Now that it's gone this far down the pan, the priority must be just safety this season. If Slade isn't seen to be the right guy even for that and did get the elbow, would the priority be getting someone in to make sure we're safe, or risk it and go all out for someone who could do that and take us on further?

It wouldn't take a managerial genius to keep us up given the crap teams already toward the bottom, so go for that famous old saying "one for the future"...<laugh>

Not Warnock for that - get the right advice and either trawl the young managers in the lower divisions to find someone like Rowett, or bite the bullet and go all out for a proven Prem/Champ manager who at least knows what he's doing at this level.

Certainly too soon as no experience beyond Div. 2 but Justin Edinburgh is doing a great job at Newport and is excellent at motivating his players. He also develops tactics to do whatever is needed on the pitch.

N.B. Hot off the press, he's just agreed a contract extension until 2017. As he result if anyone tries to poach him there will be a sizeable compo payment to Newport.

I think they are getting scared of losing him. He seems to play the right kind of stuff, played at the highest level. Why not. bollox to Cwnty

It's got to be Slade for me.

Solskjaer may have scored that unforgettable equaliser in the CL Final in 1999, but when did he ever record a song like "Cum On Feel The Noize" and where would we be every Christmas without "Merry Xmas Everybody"?
