What stand up people (that's a matter of opinion), and what sources (a name but no indication that it is the person e43xpected and no indication why said person should know anything way before anyone else)?

I have responded to stuff being written by people who are so desperate they are willing to believe anything. Thi9s has been dreamt up in the realms of private message land on ja606. Pags, Jonty, Stoopo, with LIW behind them cackling away?

Stay patient and only believe things when officially announced, and wait for the big press conference announcement.

I contacted that person after a few years of not being in touch and merely asked if I could ask a few things about Bates. His reply was that he assumed I knew that the club has been sold today and there will be an announcement by the new chairman on Saturday before the game.

If I'm wrong then I will hold my hands up and apologise for getting all your hopes up but I can't see why this person (who has known me many years) would say such a thing if it wasn't true.

I think tomorrow will bring more info for sure if it is true.

Phil Willis in not an MP. He is Lord Willis of Knaresborough these days so that text needs to be regarded as a pile of steaming ****e.. Phil Woolas is an MP but he would knoow less than big Gary about any take over if that is possible.

I think you missed the point, Elmo. perhaps you should re-read my post.

As for staying patient, you clearly missed my point on that too. How come everyone else has to remain patient but you? You rip into anyone that exchanges info gleaned (reliable or otherwise), when all they're doing is discussing it. And yes, sure as hell hoping it's true. But do you think we're all children and take everything as gospel? That's where you fall down. From up on the moral high ground, you think you know what's best for us, and how we morons should conduct ourselves. Sound familiar, Ken?

You making it sounds like I have some power over people. How ridiculous and naive of you to worries so much about someone having a different opinion to you and you associate that opinion as meaning I dont allow anything the hold a different opinion.

What you are effectively saying is that you should be allowed to spout as much ****e as you like without any debate against you and when you are challenged you go into offensive mode, accuse people of being ken Bates and wish them dead.

When the transfer window closes, what are the odds on Bates coming out and saying the "investment" fell through and he's staying charge?

Why should have to confirm who told me? I simply posted what I was told by someone who I trust would not have any reason to lie to me or make it up.

Mr Phil Willis was MP for Harrogate before he became Baron Willis when he entered the House of Lords. It's well documeneted that he thinks Bates is crooked and wanted a full enquiry into the sale of Leeds United to Bates a number of years ago.

If you believe it was him wwho told me then that's OK with me. If you don't then that's OK as well. If you think I have made it up to wum you all or get off on it then I can't help that. Think what you want.

Stoopo, most of us appreciated you coming on to share your info. Whether it comes to pass or not, we're still interested to hear these things. Ignore the odd cretin we've got on the board - and he is definitely odd!!

+1 <ok> - Boards are for sharing rumours, gossip and discussion - Some comes true and a lot doesn't, up to us all to decide as adults what we believe and what we don't and what might have some mileage in it and what might not.
