Can anyone be bothered about this game after Friday’s debacle? I think we’ve well and truly given up the ghost so I’m going for a pathetic 1-3 defeat (please prove me wrong Town)
These games are a fantastic opportunity for the likes of El Mizouni and other fringe players so I think they do have value. I'm going 1-1 (why break the habit of a lifetime?).
I expect we will again field a side without any loanees starting, even though that undoubtedly leaves us with a weaker starting eleven. You’d think the players would play with the pressure off and look to give the home fans something to cheer about, especially with season tickets going on sale the day after. But can’t buy into the optimising after that Preston result and the form all season, 2-1 defeat.
The number of ex-Town players that seem to suddenly perform, new fresh managerial approach, score loadsa goals, get a new life and just stay fit, dazzles me! or is it just a syndrome of a change of club change of fortunes?
As well as lack of a winning mentality and shortcomings in training, tactics, investment, we’ve had our fair share of quality players over the years but we’ve had a massive turnover of lousy ones too.
We are just embarrassingly bad, no quality, no spirit, no idea, and quite comfortably the worst side in the division, how long have we been bottom ? Shameful season.
That was just bloody rubbish. It’s inexcusable that it took Lambert over an hour into a game this late in the Season to see we were going to get absolutely nothing by playing one up front.Trouble is we didn’t look that much more dangerous with two.FFS
All very sad, just amazed to hear so many fans applauding and staying behind for the lap of honour, or was it shame?!
A strike partnership needs time to bed in big al. It’s not all about personnel. This is the story of our season since the opening day really.
