Driving up for Saturday and usually do full weekend to see family but doing it there and back in a day.

Where do people usually park for SOL that's handy to get away from?

The streets around the Sol are permit only on match days. Quite a few park up Southwick - up beside the Italian Kitchen on Thompson Road, people park just off Southwick Rd (Lee St), or adjacent to Jon D's boutique barber shop.
I'd get there early-ish though as its gets busy.

I normally bus or get dropped off for home games but I'll be driving to the majority of game this season. What's the best options for parking on match days? Don't mind a bit of a walk so doesn't necessarily need to be super close or anything.

I park at Tesco on the retail estate - you need to book in advance through the Just Park app. It's not cheap, but it's a great option for me as my old man can't walk that far these days. Failing that, there are always parking spaces on, or around Roker Baths Road

The Park and Ride from Enterprise Park on Wessington Way is excellent providing you are in no hurry to get away after the match
I have never used the park & ride but often wondered where the car park for this actually is. I have seen the signs at the various bus stops for pick up/ drop off places but not where the actual car park .I assumed it is not next to the shops at Enterprise park but probably wrong. Do you just park at any of the comercial/ offices where there are spaces near the bus stops? Sorry for hijacking this thread

Yes any of the offices and commercial car parks. I always park at Avalon House, St Catherine's Court, opposite the shops.

I’ve always used the multistoreys just because I’m not that familiar with good places to park. I used to use St. Mary’s in League 1 days but since we got promoted and crowds are bigger I feel se Sunnyside. I drive up from the south.

Thanks for that which has been a great help.So thanks once again. Can I park nearer the ground near the bus stop next to Wearfield Rd, past the new bridge and how early do I need to get here to get a parking space.

Not sure where you mean but I usually park in the car parks around Howdens, Edmundson Electrical, just before the big roundabout by the old Queen Alexandra Bridge, and have arrived as late 20 mins before kick off and had to run / hobble to the ground (I'm usually a lot earlier), no problem with space, even for the last cup game with the unmentionables.

I think that where I meant. Its then only a mile into Southwick for some refreshment so will probably walk there and get the bus return. .I am assuming that is where the first bus stop is on return from the ground?I would like to thank Country roads for starting this thread and for the many contributions.

Park behind Southwick shops, the restrictions end where the old bingo place got burned down to the road past the police station where Alexandra Bridge cars is.
