Yes, it's a shame that all players can't just bin their egos at times - both off and on the pitch. As much as I love Dobbie he clearly thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. Perhaps some players need that as part of their game I don't know. Always admired the likes of Shearer and Giggs for that. They were (are) good players, almost always behaved well off the pitch (when did you ever hear of training ground or nightclub incidents?) and did their talking on the pitch.
I know, earlier on this summer I posted on a "Best PL Player of All Time" thread saying how Giggs has been the immaculate professional and is possibly the best British footballer of all time, and then boom. Sex scandal. You couldn't make it up!
Sol's just living on his reputation. He should do the decent thing and retire, because his legs have surely gone by now.
