This week Leeds have announced the signings of goalkeeper Charlie Horton and striker Lee Erwin, and Bamba's move is said to be imminent. It appears the club are simply waiting for Bamba to return to the UK after a holiday.
That is my understanding too. But we should always bear in mind until it's done, it's not done. 90% plus probability that it will happen.
Thanks Doc but will that be legally binding if Cellino wants rid of him. Id advise Bamba to still do the old paper and biro version just in case
I can't find any evidence of him signing, I believe he has sent an email of intent to sign. We had a few of these last year where Cellino said a player had signed and then we found out they were being too greedy. Until we see an official announcement I wouldn't count any chickens, specially when you consider he said no to the initial offer, this could easily be a case of Cellino assuming he was going to sign for a lower wage than Bamba currently believes.
Why cant we just get players to sign contracts and stop pissing about. Have you heard of other clubs fecking about like this? Redfearn is now only a lackey, Jet 2 go to all the beaches every day send him out and back in the day with a bloody contract. How hard can it be FFS?
Couldn't agree more. How many players have we been told we've signed only to fall through. Won't believe anything till they're holding the shirt / scarf aloft.
Bamba's signed ... and now been transfer listed for being on holiday Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
lets hope bamba is better this year at defensive duties ! he started good then went slowly downhill ! seems to be a common theme at elland road ha ha
Leeds United Executive Director Adam Pearson says he expects a deal to go through to bring Sol Bamba back to Elland Road on a permanent deal. Bamba joined Leeds on loan from Italian side Palermo in January, going on to make 19 appearances for the club and captaining the side in the absence of regular captain Liam Cooper. The former Ivory Coast international joined Leeds on loan from Palermo with a view to a permanent deal this summer and Pearson says all parties are keen to get the deal sorted. "The player is keen to come and so is his agent and we are certainly keen to have him back here, so with that commitment, I think it will probably happen," Pearson told BBC Radio Leeds. Confirmation he HAS NOT yet signed Read more: http://www.leeds.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=402939#ixzz3dGMHjqd9
You are allowed to dream of course but leeds have a lot to do before challenging the real title contenders in the championship......probably much of the same as last season i shouldn't wonder.....
leeds missed out last season as usual too slow on getting ALEX NEIL as manager as i said in one of my posts before he became manager of norwich and look what he did for norwich ! now in the premier league , i saw his talent when he was a manager in scotland and his team was top of the scottish premier league , leeds must have seen it but stuck with REDFEARN and look where we finished 15th , i will also FORCAST that ALEX NEIL will become manager of MAN UTD sometime soon
You should have written to Cellino and told him. You could have also nvited him round to ur gaff for dinner.
I didn't write to the paper but this indicates "Phil Hay" and the decrepit old Cnut were definitively talking ****e.... http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....ites-close-in-on-deal-for-ace-bamba-1-7313021 As of 8.25 this morning no signature, no PDFs, no e mail...... No £1000
