Typically, when things turn sour, the players are thankful for the manager but are keen to move on. When McInnes was out the door, Carey was more than happy to say that SOD was a vast improvement. Here, Baldock is very keen to note that the players didn't know he'd be gone, and that they felt that things were on the up with SOD. Whether that's the case has been done to death, but to me it seems like some of the players aren't feeling all too happy with the direction the board is going in. If the fans aren't happy, and the players aren't happy, that's a huge vote of "no confidence" in Jon Lansdown and co.
