SOD in for now!! However if we have not won a league game by the end of October he has to go iot allow the new guy sufficient time to work with the squad ahead of the Jan transfer window.
In terms of the football then its fine to try and play a possession game at the start of the season when the pitches are nice, but at this level, for a whole season, really ? We're in the 3rd division not the Champions League Teams in this league need to muscle their way back out of it, especially when you go to some the smaller clubs on a wet Tuesday night on a muddy unpredictable pitch and need to grind out a result. That is NOT the time to try and play pretty football cuz if you do then you'll come unstuck.
'In terms of the football then its fine to try and play a possession game at the start of the season when the pitches are nice' Sorry Angelic SOD's version, on Plough Ground or Billiard Table, of the possession game is NEVER going to work on any surface.
But your the one complaining blaming the players and board? The board choose him he choose the players. I just don't see it, in football you are only as good as your last appointment and to be truthful chairmen will look at his record here and think again. For all we know Blackpool and whoever the other club was that was interested in him interviewed him and they wasn't impressed not what some think that it was SoD that turned them down. I want him to succeed, but if things don't improve soon it probably will never under SoD as it's his training, his pick of the eleven out there. We are at the moment starting with one player who regurly started last season so it's virtually all his players at the moment starting, the ones you are blaming.
Just what is the problem at City, we have had countless managers in the last 4 years, shiiteload of players come and gone and yet we are still sliding in to the bottom tier of English football and cannot defend for our lives. I think it may just be time for the board and directors to sell up and move on, as surely after so much abstract failure they have to say enough is enough and move on. If you love them let them free....
I agree the lovein with the board is mind boggleing,as a club we are in a worse place then when they took over. Both financially, and on the playing staff. I have always said, and still do, this with the right guidance at the top would take off big time.
