I would say the proportion of Muslims involved in rape gangs is higher than the proportion of the non Muslims.
Muslims tend not to criticise their own. The tube bombings, the bus ones, the Ariana Grande atrocity were carried out by people believing they were acting in the name of Islam. Someone waving a machete about shouting about Allah is not doing it in the name of anyone else. Even when half a dozen are involved we have had nonsense about lone wolves and it being nothing to do with Islam. The few right wing nutters who have committed acts do tend to be lone wolves, in every sense sad loners with no friends.

 

Bad example that, New Zealand has a smaller population than Yorkshire.

 

More council houses were built under Thatcher than Blair. Though the figure wasn’t that high Blair's was worse.

They do condemn, on every occasion I looked up there's a statement from them condemning the actions and urging community spirit and togetherness. Still feel like the brush needs more tar?

It does and I was semi debating not putting it in, but the relative increase of 20% to their population is way more of an increase than we've had in the same period. South Korea is a much better example.

 

The Muslim Council may. The ones on the street and Imams out of the public gaze are a different thing. You see dancing on the streets after events like 9/11 and the events that kicked off events in Gaza being described as beautiful.

 

The MCB are the highest ranking members of the faith within the UK, why would it matter what some mad head on Speaker's corner is ranting about when compared to their comments?

Again though, it's the same double standard I mentioned before. Do you not see the contradiction in what you're saying? For all the events you state, the overwhelming majority of Muslims felt the exact same as everybody else, perhaps slightly worse given that they knew the repercussions they'd face. You know that street preachers and door knockers represent extreme examples, so why hold an entire group to that standard instead of to the same ones you hold for everybody else?

 

This is only heading the way that several suspected it might.

We do try to accommodate a broad church, but experience shows that this will become fractious and spill on to other threads.
