No brainer for me. When we play against so called big football nations eg, Spain, Italy Germany etc we play at the Millenium stadium, bums on seats and all that. When we play less glamorous opposition such as Norway and Switzerland we rotate the venues and play at The Liberty, Racecourse and CCS in turn.
Agree...this seems like the most sensible way to do it. On the next manager discussion I think Hartson would be perfect for the job. Not because of his managerial ability/experience (well experience is zero) but if he teams up with the two coaches already there then we have them to deal with the tactics, training etc that Speed was putting in place and Hartson can be the motivator for both the fans and players and the face for the media, as well as picking up some valuable experience, im also guessing he will be the cheaper option
remember speed already had coaching and management experience, he was captain for many years, he was always going to make a good manager, i know hartson is a passionate welshman, but something tells me he'd fall flat on his face, i think he'd be better off proving he has the credentials rather than the FWA chucking him into the deep end and see how it turns out. coleman, i'm a bit indifferent to him, its not a manager who i believe would be a revelation, but he'd be a steady hand, and has experience of managing in 4 leagues, and 3 countries, thats something in his favour...
I'm sure this will make interesting reading for you. Compare the percentages to Cardiffs. On that basis we should be asking why you're not doing better with such a big catchment area?
Btw in answer to the OP I don't think we need any new stadiums. If Welsh international football does continue improving and in ten years or so we're consistantly competing in the WC etc. then surely these games should be hosted in the Millenium Stadium and until we can contemplate filling the MS we can rotate between Liberty Stadium, Racecourse, CCS and maybe even Parc y Scarlets if the numbers are that low.
