To be fair was that a side step or step over? Did you cry? Is he called Anus. Tough questions these.

You're right RA - far too tough for me, I'm quite young and only a learner at this stuff.

I'm still working on my arithmetic tables at the moment and just found out what comes between 17th and 19th - Birmingham City........<laugh>

Of course we are right Leaky drops. Bristol City’s running the show here. Like they did twice v your lot this season.

Leaky drops - how original.......<laugh>

You're quite right, you're running the show here - and what a show it is.

At least we've got an active thread that's not relying on coronavirus nor Ukraine to keep it going. <ok>

You started off ok then lost your way bit Like Cardiff at Ashton Gate.

I'll give you the Cardiff at Ashton Gate bit, but "starting ok and then lost your way" sounds like your last half dozen seasons under Johnson and Holden. Cotterill got you back up but in reality it's been downhill ever since.

So back to the original question then. We've been crap but have taken a positive decision to change direction over here with a young manager (rightly or wrongly), but what do you need to do to make a positive change over there?

Despite RR's love affair with Pearson, is he the right man to take you forward? Does he need big money to make any real difference? A safe pair of hands to keep you up or just another aggressive Warnock/McCarthyesque dinosaur in the making?

Hmm.......seems like a sensible question has killed this thread stone dead........<laugh>

Ah well, back to the abuse to fill the no game midweek void then. Who's next?

Think the jury is still out on Nige. We all want him to reproduce what he had in Leicester but not looking that way at the moment. It’s hard to work out if it really is poor players or poor organisation.
Some think he’s a messiah and walks on water with more attractive football. I’m not seeing it at the moment apart from the odd 45 minutes here and there. But they are very few in between.
I’m going to wait until after this window and see if there is any improvement before I jump off the fence.

The people who think he ‘walks on water’, do so because he isn’t Lee Johnson.

Theres been a lot of downhill since 1980. Buy the ticket take the ride.

You got an arse smacking from the Jacks. Your young manager read inexpierienced. Greenhorn losing to Swansea four zip looks positive!!! whats that underprepared by a novice? over coached by the beginner? overawed? not up for the derby? weaklings?

Pearson well he at least looks like and sounds like he knows what hes doing unlike Johnson with his two bit philosphers riddlin ****e.

Blimey - I counted 5 more questions about us there and no answers about your position other than "Pearson looks and sounds like he knows what he's doing".

Is that the best you can come up, or are you just prattling on without a clue? Sounds like no direction with everything crossed to me.

Leaky.

Bristol City are skint. No not skint in gert **** off debt. Decks have to be cleared so unless Pearson can divide loaves and fishes and i dont think he can avoiding relegation and beating Cardiff twice with playing a lot kids in the eleven this season is success to me.

Your apprentice Manager? Struggling.

Your experienced manager? Struggling?

If beating a poor side like Cardiff with an apprentice manager and an awfult lot of academy kids involved is your success story, I'm very happy for you.

Bristol City are in a storming stage. The plan to advance is unclear due to the clubs finances. Reality could be further storming where playing assets are sold to balance books and release finance to strengthen the team.

The team has forty four points. Generally enough to avoid relegation. That is accomplishment in a season where relegation was a realistic possibility before the season started.

The six points gained v Cardiff are part of that success.

Thank you for those points.

You're welcome. Though gifted, it wasn't intentionally so - we were just poor.

Seems to me we’re two poor sides, we are arguing who is the poorest, sorry debating. Bottom line is we are both poor.

Due to your recent time in the PL you’ve had access to PP funds so should be in a much stronger position than us Sparky, but you aren’t .
