Also Ajax didn't win their league last season - they finished behind PSV. PSV got knocked out in the group stages and we all know about Ajax.True mateI can't deny that and not knocking Liverpool for that. More the format of the European competitions, the europa league has far too many games and there was a day that the European cup was for champions.
Top 4 dilutes this a bit for me but can see why it's been done and also makes end of season more competitive/exciting.for competition for places.
I suppose we can take a little satisfaction from the Liverpool win...........They couldn't have done it without nigh on half their team being ex Saints players.......
Also did you see how each team by passed mid field all the time or mostly...... long ball game........I'm glad Spurs were not beaten by the odd goal though. I did see someone run on to the pitch but our TV channel just focused on the players so we didn't see anything really........Certainly didn't see it was a female.......

That’s another couple of Southampton academy graduates to have won the Champions league I guess.
Now the dust has settled I think the lesser of two evils won. Spurs fans are huge bell ends despite having won basically nothing so if they had actually won last night they would have gone into over drive. Liverpool have won the CL twice before in my lifetime, but still not the PL so I think I can deal with it. Plus surely we got a bit of extra cash from clauses in the deals which we can spunk on another goalkeeper so there is that.
