    are we going to be using this website from now on or will we be using 606 until it dies????

    It looks like everyone seems to like it so when 606 has gone we look like carrying on here I think

    I think the plan is to come here as soon as the 606 site is taken off...

    Maybe have to have a few more threads on 606 to make sure we don't lose anyone (other than a select few of course!)...

    Can just imagine peterskitchen trying to log in after 2 bottles of aftershock to send us all a poem, to find that we've all moved on without telling him!!

    I think the BBC is stopping 606 in May as they are getting rid of a load of IT matey's (I think?)

    606 is coming to a halt due to government budget cuts to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office who previously funded the BBC's world service. Since the FCO have now ceased that as part of their cut backs, the BBC, in order to limit the amount of world service operations that they have to close down, are getting rid of a lot of their online interactive services to mitigate it, sadly including 606.
