    I'm going to carry on... City have always given top class pre-match entertainment, my question goes back to that hot'76, who/what was the entertainment before taking on West Ham? a clue, it wasn't Gary Glitter, as he was entertaining the young robins.

    Funny thing CJS numerous rovers 'fans' flocked to Ashton Gate when we were in the top flight, so the question is open to City and rovers fans!

    i didnt know that. i wasnt born until early 80's. i know there were some who watched both city and rovers - whoever was at home, but thought that was it <ok>

    Massive is right. We lost a big slice of a generation of fans glory hunting when they reached the top flight. I was only a young kid but where I lived was staunch Rovers. You'd never see a red but in the late 70's they started to appear<grr> We used to bully the ****s in my school <laugh>

    i remember in my school we used to play city vs rovers in a footy game, it was always 30 vs 4

    <laugh> funny in my school we used to win and then the year 11's would come over and tell us if we didnt let them play they would beat us up <laugh> still remember those bastards be about 34 of us on the goal line.......

    Large crowds flocked to AG where many great players in those days were on show, apart from the City team every club had super stars, I always admired the silky skills of Frank Worthington...of course if you had rather watched Frankie Prince at the dog **** track ground with the other 2,000 fans.... their loss

    Norman Hunter,Terry Cooper,Joe Royal and Peter Cormack plus all of our own boys, down the Miners arms,onto the gate and afterwards up the Avon Packet,chips,Green Un and home,match of the day,what a day..
