    https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/now-is-the-time-for-a-great-reset/

To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a “Great Reset” of capitalism

Seems like they are taking it pretty seriously

It's probably all bollocks but a reset isn't a bad idea, we need to chuck our reliance on Fossil Fuels and have more folk work from home with an extra tax as they wont be spending as much. There should also be heavy taxes on 2+ car houses unless they are used for work.

Then the big one, house prices. Get ready for a long awaited Government correction in the housing market especially in the south.

That reliance on fossil fuels has improved the life expectancy of people in the west, lead to most if not all of the innovative changes that followed with the industrial revolution, reduced the deaths from natural disasters by over 95% whilst quietly saving whales and turtles from extinction.

Yaay, let's all go back to the middle ages, that'll looked fun.

I'm aware of the industrial revolution and how it shaped the West, what I'm saying is that we need to look at other ways now to power our economy. We know for a fact we are destroying the earth why would we not look at other ways? It's called evolution.

But we don't know that for a 'fact', they've ****ed up on those models predictions for decades. What we do know for a fact is that life before the better harnessing of fossil fuels was far worse than life after it.

What we do know is that the Climate is changing, and the energy mass in fossil fuels is probably the most effective method to mitigate that at present. Have a look at California if you think the hippy **** energy model works.

I'm of the opinion the populace are shielded from a lot of information regarding climate change etc so I take what's in the public domain with a pinch of salt.

Why do you think Capitalist countries have effectively wrecked their economies? For a laugh?

Well it was through Covid, so I'm not sure why you drag that in at this point. Generally speaking, politicians control very little, and they are reliant on guidance from civil servants and experts. Using wealth and influence to flood the expert panels with those sympathetic to your view, is one way of getting what you want, with no real breadcrumbs left.
