wrong again scott Sir Alex saw him as a potential full back and he left the decision up to tate what he wanted to do, how do i know because Alan is a friend, also he still puts the gloves on as extra training with the swans goalkeeping coach, he is a great back up in an emergency as he has proved. you dont get a contract from sir Alex for nothing that you can be sure of, tate still has what it takes to go between the sticks if needed,
How about Murphy from scunthorpe. were linked to him a while back when DVD was again possibly leaving. Agree with most not haneman ( sorry for spelling) if wolves dont want him why would we. never been impressed with federicci. always though overated. I rekon Buck already has a list and it is probably someone we havent thought about. The other to spring to mind is Cudicini. 3rd choice at spurs. Jesus i cant spell any of their names.
Just looking through the thread and I've thought of a few keepers that would be available at least for the season on loan or maybe players that are being overlooked.... Fraser Forster - Played 44 games for Celtic in Europe and the SPL while keeping Artur Boruc out of the sticks. Pardew has gone on record to say that loaning him back to the SPL would be a waste of time, maybe loaning him out to a Premiership side would be just what he needs for a season Steve Harper - Another Newcastle Keeper but bear with me, Forster has made it clear he won't be a bit part player meaning that might push Harper out the picture with two quality keepers there and Soderberg as back up. Would be available cheap and has experience and to my knowledge hasn't really made many clangers. Shay Given - To my knowledge nobody has put a bid in apart from Celtic enquiring but nothing has come from it. City might let Given leave on loan to another club while City paying most of his wages (similar to Bellamy at Cardiff). Ben Foster - Just been relegated with Birmingham and may let the player go for £4m and he will want to be back in the Prem with the season he has just had. And with him getting the stat of saving the most shots last season, surely he wouldn't go far wrong with a move to yourselve's.
Has to be Sandomierski. Have watched some clips and from them alone you can see he commands the area 10 times better than Dorus. If we don't get him, I'd have a sneaky bid for Camp. If all else fails, I think Loach out of that list.
Some interesting suggestions there, geordie1892. Would love Shay Given on loan but I doubt we could afford his wages and I doubt that Man City would subsidise his wages to another Premiership club. They were happy to do it with Bellamy last season as Cardiff were in the Championship.
1 Given. 2 Camp. 3 Gillks. The Polish lad looks hand for give the pun for a keeper. Good one mentioned in Harper!!!
Sandomeirski would be my number 1 choice so im hoping we can get him if not Lindegaard should Man U get De Gea or Neuer. Out of the list in the original post i would have to go for Loach or Camp (in that order)
what about Hennesey if De Vries going there unsettles him or if he has been told that De Vries is going to be Number 1 next season?
Hennesey? Hell no. I consider him worst than Dorus. We need to step forwards, not backwards. I like the idea of Lindergaard. United are getting De gea, so that chap may be available on loan?
No way is he worse than Dorus! I really rate Hennessey, think he has got a bucket load of potential but its just not being realised at Wolves. i maybe wrong, hell i usually am but think he would do well with us
I'd try to lure Van De Saar back for a season or two by stressing to him he could have a bit of fun playing for a team that let him roam a bit like when he was at Fulham . He wasn't allowed to play that way with Man U & I think he missed those days . Van Der Saar play at Fulham was responsible for them staying up on more than one occasion IMO .
adelaide city keeper is always in the aussie squad but obviously schwartser keeps him out, cant remember his name
hennessey will be replaced by dorus and he may want a move, he would not be my first choice but if we cant find anyone better then i would rather have hennessey who we know is a decent keeper, not the best by all means but decent all the same...
Well he'll back his own ability and figure he can force his way into the team there. If all goes well he'll be #1 at a team with better players, being paid more money, and being a first choice Premiership keeper in front of more fans each week. I doubt that'll be the case but he's hoping the competition and stepping out from his comfort zone will spur him on a bit. Good luck to him and we'll move onto the next hero between the sticks - they have a lot to live up to!
