    but how can you be certain without reviewing the evidence (and having a knowledge of law - being a student doesn't count)

    So true to arrogant American form they have already stated that should Amanda be requested back and she refuses to go there is basically 0% chance of America extraditing her

    There was a Scottish guy who was accussed of hacking pentagon (or FBI files) and they wanted to extradite him. His family were against it as the guy has learning diffuclties and the US senate were threating Scotland with all sort!

    You know what, **** it, i don't care about this anymore. One time politics beats common sense, we all fly off the handle. The number of correct decisions made by courts each day far outweigh the botched ones. We can't let one moment of madness by a judge cloud our views of the legal community as a whole. It was in Italy, a mistake was obviously going to be made. If this case happened in germany, she would have served a life sentence.

    If it had come at a different economic time she would be serving a life sentence in Italy. With its current deficit crisis Italy simply cannot afford to fall out with the worlds largest economy <ok>
