Agreed ... for me it comes down to individual brilliance that has an end product ... and he has been exceptional in that regard this season so far ...
@gooner4ever serious question ... Would you have Kane at Arsenal? If so, how much would you be prepared to pay for him?
Imo Kane is one of the best strikers in the PL and we made a mistake in letting him go but I doubt we would pay the £100m it would likely take to buy him. United or Chelsea in he stays in PL, and Real Madrid if goes to La Liga. serious question back at ya..... how long do you think you can hang on to Kane and Eriksen if Spurs fail to win anything again this season, will they go in the summer ?
now I know you are on drugs. You honestly thing Gillingham will take more fans away this season than Sunderland. Someone has laced your Jaffa cakes you old fool.
I think you forget a vital part in this conversation, it's not how many supporters you take it's how many your ground can hold. I could argue you only took 2k-2.5k to our place but i know the maximum our away stand can hold is 3k, but I'm guessing due to so called safety restrictions, your allocation would have been reduced to 2.5k. I'm sure your away section holds considerably more. We took over 40k to Wembley for our play-off final, Kent is a massive geographical area with no other football league clubs. So despite poor attendances, say 5k average, but for big games it's anyone's guess how many we will take. You probably will be our cup final this year, we take about 3k to Charlton, I expect you never took any more than that on your visit, as that is all the Jimmy Seed stand can hold. So yes, you do have a far greater away following, but in L1 that is considerably restricted dependent on the ground you visit. Hence i was talking of a one off attendance
But they have a massive ground. Truth is, as **** as Sunderland are, they are still the biggest draw in the league, so most teams will probably have their highest away attendance there, baring local derbies.
Not sure about Eriksen. He could well leave, but I don't think it will be before we find a replacement for him. As for Kane, he has said, openly to the press, on many occasions, that he has no intention of leaving Spurs, and wants to stay on to become a legend. I am hopeful that he's here for the long haul.
So far not! There were rumblings of United showing interest but he isn’t robust enough in my view. When he goes in two years it will be to Italy or Spain where they get loads of penalties.
Plenty, including United and Real - undeniably the two biggest clubs in the World - but Levy didn’t even bother to answer the phone.
They gave us 2k, we sold out. They then give us a further 2k, we sold them. Then we were handed another 1k and they were sold. We would have sold at least another few thousand had we the tickets. The fact it was a lunch time kick off on sky sports makes it even more impressive. However, if we didn't have the history that we have them, I very much doubt we would have sold more than a few thousand tbh
