As much as he looks like the mashed beaks, ringpieces and feet of chicken before they become chicken nuggets, and as wasteful as he is in the transfer window, if ever he were to manage us, the time is now. Wherever he has gone, whatever sideways move he has made, he always overachieves until someone gives him transfer money (not a problem here).

We need an organiser, a results-orientated ogre, if we are to stay up. Depends entirely whether you believe there is any point to fighting it under Ashley though, which I don't really!

We would then need a new manager at the end of the season - would rather keep Schteve until end of season and if no imprvement bring in De Boer

Stick with mclaren the fixtures were against us from day dot. See where we are come Christmas for goodness sake.

Obviously if we had watford andcwest ham before tbe confidence was destroyed we stooe more chance of getting the required results.

If everyone hadn't made pardew piss off we wouldn't even be in this mess. All thought as usual that we had a better side than we actually did.

In otherwords it's the fans fault too and they have started again already.

Seriously who have we got?

Anyone who thinks we wouldn't be in the mess with Pardew you are wrong IMO. Pardew was the one that gave players like Tiote and Sissoko free reigns, both have spat the dummy out since he left. The record in 2013 up to October was not far off relegation, 2014 was relegation and up to October was comfortably the worst in the country. That was when the problems have started. Yes he probably is a better manager than McClaren, plenty of people accountable for the mess at Newcastle, not the supporters though.

You're in denial

**** pulis and bruce support the manager we have at least until Christmas ffs

We played really well for 30 mins and could have been 3-0 up by half-time.

As it turns out, 3-0 wouldn't have been enough to win the game.

2-0 up against a melting Chelsea and we capitulated.

We are done for, even at this early stage.

Still, if Chelsea do sack Mourinho, I think we should give him the chance to come here and realise the work of his former Boss, Sir Bobby :)

Not all the supporters mate but some are.
Like I've said before, some were calling for SM out after a couple of games. Utterly ridiculous.
We can't end up doing a SAFC and appointing a new manager or two every season.
We need to stick with SM now and give the team our support. I that means relegation then so be it.

I think we need Jose Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp or Frank De Boer. And even then they would struggle.

We will stick with McClaren which I think we should really. Its a damning condemnation of our process otherwise. This regime is not great at admitting its **** ups, and even worse at correcting them. I was not convinced by him but you are asking for real turmoil if you give up now. I still think it is just taking time to get it right. My problem with McClaren is he is not even making the best of what he has now. The problem is can you see him turning it round? Can you see him restoring confidence? Can he find a way to stop conceding goals? I can just see us having one crisis meeting after another. We might get the odd result but we won't get the consistency and we certainly won't improve defensively.

That said, if you are even considering change, then do it straight away. No point waiting to see what happens. We need definitive action one way or the other. You either back him over the bridge or tear out the root and start again. No ****ing around in no mans land saying wait and see.

Its no good saying we were on top for 30-45 mins and should have been up at the break. Sunderland did really well against City 2nd half when it was over. Unfortunately they'd already been blown away. The gulf between their 2nd half performance and City's first half was massive as the ability to self implode. Likewise for us.The 2nd goal was crucial for our fragile confidence. We didn't get it and as soon as they got one we crumbled. Sunderland do the same. Chelsea do. Its a lack of confidence and it is the most difficult thing to overcome in football. I think McClaren has partaken in that developing sadly with his bizarre team selections and his football boards poor direction in transfer business. I have gone back to it loads. We should have bought defenders. When you have Haidara, Colo and Janmaat's defensive frailties, you will get exposed. That wrecks the teams confidence. If we had got a solid base to work from it might have been different. We can keep turning a blind eye and thinking the likes of Colo and Haidara are good enough. If we do we will concede goals and never regain confidence. You might get away with Janmaat but you won't get away with 3 defenders who can't defend. I'm not including Mbabu. He is just a young lad doing his best out of position. The other 3 have been in and around the team all season. We drop off alarmingly as a team too. Mbemba is holding it all together on his own at present.

Getting back on topic though, if we do change I think we will get Nigel Pearson, Steve Evans or Sean Dyche.

I think we need to stick with it. He needs a chance to change the players available to him. It's a big job turning this club around. I hate it when clubs continually hire and fire managers.
He was the wrong manager for us from the start. His record is poor. He's so far Way from premiership quality. He's a yes man. He is out of his depth and should not have been appointed. The. Lab is broken. Jeez look at our board of directors. 3 of them are complete muppets. Ashley must be getting worried now. We have two games to pull it around and if we don't get points we are in danger of being the worst ever...... Ever premiership finish.
