The cheapest option is not to have a manager at all.

I mean it's not as if they actually play in games is it?

What's the point of a manager?

    They do **** all.

    We don't need one.

Hear me out! Hear me out.

If we have a recruitment policy that just recruits one player for each of the positions in a team then there would literally be nothing for a manager to do.

    So the answers simple.

    Just employ 11 players.

Then no manager will be needed.

    Simples.

Edit: ****ing hell, I might just have given the daft dickheads an idea.

    Sorry all.

    I’ll do it
One season, few hundred grand, end on a huge high when I lose it completely at the end of the season. Massive bust up and a full on dirty protest.

    Bring it on

I was thinking along the lines of taking the big money on offer now which may not be the best option in the long term.

    Completely different scenario isn’t it.
It’s like Bullard coming here with a dodgy knee for a last payday
A young kid needed looking after in a supportive sheltered environment
Pennock can take the managers job, fail and get a coaching job back somewhere else

Tymon May come back and fulfill his promise
    And it’s a shame if he doesn’t
    But the signs aren’t good

All player contracts will be negotiated after sharing a bottle of scotch (with the player...the agent will be banned)
I’ll park in both of the parking spaces boy blunder normally uses from day one too.

    No suit by the way
    No tracksuit either
There’ll be no need for me to be on the training pitch, I’ll have staff for that.
I will sit and watch it though with a drink.
I’ll be permanently seen in shorts and flip flops and my office will be known colloquially as ‘Margaritaville’

I’m quite fancying it now, have they advertised yet

You'll be needing an assistant, Den.

A knowledgeable expert who really pulls the strings.

A Charlie Large Potatoes who knows his onions and calls a spade a spade.**

An enigmatic, swarthy lothario type who makes the ladies swoon an' stuff.

The power behind the throne in effect.

    PM me.

** Could be a problem if we are looking at the African market. If necessary I'll tone things down.

Assistant role is now filled by an excellent applicant

I’d like everyone to welcome Ernie to what I’m sure will be a successful partnership.
