I was speaking to a bloke in Yate's before the match and he was trying to justify why he wasn't a glory hunter for supporting Saints. I never thought the day would come, quite frankly.
Have to admit, me neither. Back in the 1980's with Keegan etc... supporters still just followed their own clubs, so supporting your local or born into club was what you did. One may have had a soft spot for another club back then, but glory hunters are a modern phenomenon of the media coverage era. Frankly, I don't see the point. In fact, such is my anathema to glory hunters, that I was thinking of switching my allegiance to Eastleigh Spitfires, only they're doing too well, as well.
