Found it! I asked because I seem to remember seeing a lad walking up Goldsmith avenue wearing one once, but I wasn't sure, at the time, that it was a Southampton shirt, what with it being blue. Not on a matchday, which I thought was very bold of him, reminiscing. It says a lot to me, because I can't imagine Pompey ever using red and white stripes as an away kit! please log in to view this image
I was only half watching the England game last night and a couple of times got briefly confused about who I was supporting as blue and yellow will always be associated with Saints for me.
I did a little research on the site where I found the blue kit. It was showing kits from founder members of the PL 1992-93 season. Oldham take the honours for me, with this effort! please log in to view this image
Lol. I have given a few away over the past years to Portuguese family :0 (trying to spread the word ) Ones I still have are the Air Florida, the Hummel Draper Tools, the beige/sand Sanderson, the dark blue Friends Provident, the light blue Friends Provident, red/white flybe (season Kenwyne left), the aap red and white from last year and the yellow from last year. They are all in the drawers and don't get worn often apart from the light blue and last year's yellow (which I cheekily had Premier league numbers printed on in February. lol) Last year's shirt I like the collar and love the fit. Like I say I buy a small so it is snug (not tight.) I don't buy football shirts because I thing they are value, or fashion or any reason like that. I buy them because I am proud to be a Saints fan and I want people to know it I actually wores a Saints shirt to 3 Lincoln v Saints games: The Colin Clarke/Danny Wallace one at Sincil Bank and both legs at Sincil Bank as well as The Dell in the mid nineties. All 3 occasions I was in with my mates in the Lincoln fans. All 3 occasions I cheered and celebrated the opposite goals to those around me (to much anger from those around me.) Was lucky not to be beaten to a pulp on the latter 2 occasions being an adult for that one but Saints are my team and I am proud to let everyone know that I am
