In terms of probability then the % attached to the rate refers to the confidence that can be attached to the prediction - it's not personal.
I will say this, under Rodgers we have gone from strength to strength, and it has been a very continuous trend on improvement. And secondly, since the turn of the year we've gained the second most amount of points, behind only Arsenal.
I think he has been a breath of fresh air, not many of us thought he would do any good but he's had a tough job to take on and is doing great - he's made mistakes of course but he seems to learn from them quickly and you can't ask for much more than that
I do find if funny. Before the Tottenham game, there was talk of 'if we get seven points from the next four games, we have a realistic shot at the title.' On this thread I read 'If we get seven points from the next three games, we have a realistic shot at the title...'
As long as you don't read on Sunday. "If we get 7 points from the next 2 games, we have a realistic shot at the title"
Only ******s phone into talksport. Which means all the callers are southern. Such a bad look for Liverpool fans when Roy from London calls demanding X, Y & Z should be sold & Rodgers should be sacked. And that we should get Harry Redknapp instead.
Sorry that is utter tosh and it always has been, its right up there with - these things even themselves out, they dont - end of. Everyone has the same fixtures, but in name only, I am not saying any one team benefits from the fixture list but luck has an awful amount to play in title wins 1. Are you seriously telling me that it was not better to meet Chelsea under AVB, than later in the same season when the next interim manager took over. 2. Are you claiming that no strikers go through purple patches, like Benteke last season, Suarez at the moment, where they are just virtually unplayable. 3. Timing of playing certain teams, ie after international breaks, whether the team has realised they could be relegated and so are playing out of their skins, or have been relegated and are playing with shackles of. 4. The best team does not always win league, Barcelona under Pep (argued as the greatest team ever by most top pundits and pros) lost the title to Mourihnio and Real, does that make them the best team ? 5. Injuries and timing of injuries and to who always plays a part. The list of these kind of points is endless To win anything you have to have a plan, ability, luck, desire and for everything just to fall just right for you, and when you look back at a season you can usually see where everything turned, but thats all part of the fun. To me that is why I agree that some are earned more than others.
Absolute bollocks The facts are simple. 38 league games, everyone plays everyone else home & away. The side that ends that 38 game season with the most points is the best side in the division - the end. All of the variables that you mention there, are merely part of the game. You might hit one team when they're bang in form & another when they're not, it doesn't matter a jot, as every other side is coming up against the same infinite amount of variables, on a weekly basis; the weather, injuries, managerial changes, new signings, a passionate crowd, a terrible refereeing decision etc etc etc. Your example of Barca merely proves the point, as Madrid beat Barca in the Camp Nou for the first time in 5 years & went on to break the Spanish league goalscoring record netting 109 times that season. So they were the best side that year, the results & stats prove it ffs. To try & argue that some league titles are 'more earned' than others, is applying a subjective (& almost certainly bitter & biased) slant on whichever teams achievement that you're trying to dumb down. The best team wins & deserves the league title.
Cant say I agree mate. I listen to Talksport all the time and more often than not the people are from Liverpool, repeat callers I have noticed too. Reasonable people as well.
