Fair play as far as pidgeons are concerned - magpies are a different matter! Nasty bits of work, even if that is nature!!
I always spit and salute when I see a single magpie. When I was in the hospice with my dad, I was sat in the garden and saw one. Everyone rolled about laughing because I forgot I had a face mask on.
2 magpies were in my garden on Saturday attacking my CAT! She was lying in the sun and the magpies worked as a team - attacking her from both sides, pecking her tail. Unbelievable!
They are very pretty birds but I've seen the damage they do to new born lambs and fledglings from other nests - I wouldn't give them the time of day!!
Wow that was a blow !! Was that around 1983 when we totally bossed the game from start to finish, wasted loads of chances, and got done by the 25 yard worldy by somebody Smart in the last few minutes ?
I love keeping my car clean but all of the birds are in full dump mode at the moment and the amount of dust in the air with the very dry condiions makes the hard work of trying to keep it clean just seem pointless at the moment, as if I wash it in the early morning you can write your name in dust on it by evening. But apparently rain is on the way on Wednesday. Fingers crossed it will lay the dust a bit !
