I'm nearly calm & relaxed. For months I've said that we will win the play offs. Nothing has happened to change my mind.
I think the first 20 minute are vital!! Derby's youthful players will fly out of the blocks at us and we need to stand firm. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we were to go one down early on, but we mustn't let that become two. If we can keep them out for those first 20 minutes, I fancy us to gradually control the game with our more experienced players. However, us being 3-0 up after 30 minutes would be just dandy!!
I'm going for 2-2 after 90 mins and then a horrible 30 minutes where we score in the 115th minute - so much like Wigan. Whatever, it's going to be horrible, ugly and nerve-wracking but satisfying in the end. Think i may just tune in at 5.15pm in time for the final extra time whistle...!
I think we will win 2-0 and pass them off the pitch. Maybe a red card early on for Derby as I agree they are rash and maybe too youthful . I fully hope that we wind them up Ie Dunne on Martin Barton on Hughes They best us at their place but we didn't turn up that day I think we will turn up Saturday Wigan were by far the best footballing team out of the six but that was in the league ... Doesn't matter one bit now
Expecting the worse, anything else is a bonus. Think I've developed that theory after a lifetime as a Rangers fan!
Lots saying the biggest threat from Derby is their youthfulness, but I reckon that could work against them in the final, what with the pressure and excitement of the occasion. 2-1 us.
I'm fairly calm about the whole thing....they're a decent side but so are we, just hope Harold picks a side that will give them problems rather than a side that he has to adjust after 20 mins.......lets take the game to them and make them run around chasing shadows all afternoon....... This is a very winnerable game......
Extra time and possibly penalties. I wasn't impressed with derby when we beat them and we have a lot of big game players, let's hope they perform this time. The good news is their CF is a lump which should play into our hands.
Your right Martin is a lump, but they have a lot of pace that play off him. However, and I believe this is ominous for us, the form/fitness of Ned, Danny and Yun will be crucial
We should be OK as long as hill or dunne stay with the lump, the other 3are fast enough to cope, that's assuming hill isn't at LB.
This !!! Hope we're both wrong. Derby score goals. Rangers don't as much. But in the day I just hope our defence and experience come to the fore !! Will be watching in Toronto Canada in a pub at 10am
They tried this in our home game against them. I fear that they will employ the same dirty tactics tomorrow. It wouldn't surprise me if they take turns in targeting Barton and try to get him sent off, and with that twat of a ref Lee Mason in charge he'll probably fall for it.
Now, where was I, oh yes ................. as a number of you have stated, 2-1 will do nicely, thanks.
I actually think we have the upper hand. They played an opposition that crumbled. We had to work harder. We have many players who've been in big stadiums and played in big games, and they haven't. We'll deal with the atmosphere a lot better than they will, I recon. I think this all gives us the upper hand. We'll be tough for them. And we also seem to actually respond to big atmosphere and important games.
You've obviously not fraternised with the right (or should that be wrong) nuns, Aussie! (As my father always said, you can kiss and cuddle a nun, but you mustn't get into the habit)
