Maynard's goal was very well taken today. I can just see him playing a blinder against us and us all seeing what we could have had. I still think we'll win though. Saturday was a wake up call and Sven and the players need to do just that. It will be very satisfying to smash them considering the majority of them have been all smug about keeping Maynard and mouthing off all summer.

Would it be a bad thing if Maynard played a blinder against us (obviously with us winning). If we won 2-1 and he scored a wonder goal it might persuade Sven to part with more money to get him. I agree his goal was well taken and you never felt he would miss. Also, with Bristol being bottom it might persuade Maynard to move on and with their defence being all over the place, it might persuade them to take the money and buy some defenders.
