Agreed, we are all saying this but Sven needs to realise it - it doesn't matter who we sign if we are picking the wrong team and playing the wrong way. There's really no excuse for not playing attractive attacking football sooner or later considering the money we've spent.
Perhaps, but Cardiff have been busy in the transfer market as well, both in and out, and they are caning them at the moment. Plus I don't think yesterday was a gelling issue, more that it was the wrong team selection.
well I hope you're right. even If it is a gelling issue, I dont think it will take long. the team spirit is more than good already as we have seen at cov.
did we miss out on kevin phillips? Blackpool play a similar system and he looks very dangerous! Could benjani have been a threat? Missed a trick with chopra? Could we have perhaps got bothroyd if we went all out?!
They don't want to sell. The consolations he gets could make all the difference in their relegation scrap.
A giant bid for Maynard is neccessary imo, use the money we would have used on Long to get Maynard AND Keane.
Did anyone hear sven after the game? stringer asked him about the striker situation and it didnt sound like anyone will be coming in soon
Utilise the loan market for another proven but out of favour prem striker for the season with the option of coming on board when we reach the promised land
Get Maynard now. We should make a bid tonight while they are still licking their wounds from another hammering. If we did somehow get a deal done before the Bristol game i doubt Maynard would play any way. Like we did with Fryatt and Hull
OK I may get slated for saying this but what about Mikael Forssell? He's out of contract and only 30, I think he could score a few if given the right service!
Playing for Hannover 96, he recently had a trial at WHU but the got the striker from Villa instead! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikael_Forssell
