Two young Thistle fans (Craig and Andy, do you know them?) were staying at the same hotel, and even though I mercilessly ribbed them about the Costa Rica defeat, they would still buy me cokes, crisps, and endless turns on the arcade games. They were terrific lads and I missed them terribly when they left. I once got drunk at a Berwick Rangers match.

Five died only three seasons ago when a contingent of thistle fans wandered, unknowingly into the wrong area of Paisley. The fact that Buddies built their new stadium on the periphery of Europe's worst housing scheme, Ferguslie park in response to a bus load of their supporters vanishing without a trace in the Maryhill triangle should have went some way to informing you that PT and SM are incompatible.
